Hello guys and welcome back to the it really works vitamins channel I hope you're all doing really really well my name is Fortuna and I'm the founder of it really works at vitamins.com we're a hair care supplement brand from here in the UK and we've been featured in Forbes as the best nutrition innovation 2019 and 18. We've also been in shortlist magazine as the best hair regrowth product for men but we're not just for men we're also suitable for women as well!

In today's video I want to share a little recipe I found online for a gorgeous little snack filled with flax seeds oats and dark chocolate and it's something that's really healthy for you and filled with the nutrient that you need for healthy normal hair growth it doesn't require any baking very minimal preparation so Ii thought it'd be really handy especially if you're working from home you can have it have them for breakfast have them for snacks during the day and they take almost no time to prepare.
Credit for this recipe goes to the baker mama. I'm going to put a link in the description so you can check out her website. She creates recipes for mums which is where I found the recipe. I think you're really going to enjoy this one so let's see what you need for these bites.
For this recipe you will need
  • two cups of old-fashioned oats
  • half a cup of ground or milled flaxseed
  • three tablespoons of brewer's yeast
  • one cup of peanut butter
  • half a cup of honey
  • one teaspoon of vanilla
  • half a cup of dark chocolate chips
Pour out two cups of oats oats are rich in fiber zinc iron niacin omega-3 fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids and these can all help to stimulate normal healthy hair growth omega-6 fatty acids are essential in helping to maintain healthy skin and hair so this essential ingredient can only be obtained through your diet it's important to have oats a couple or three times per week and in these handy bites.

Take half a teaspoon of vanilla essence then we're going to get half a cup of milled flaxseed flaxseed is a fantastic source of B vitamins. These are a group of nutrients that are known for encouraging healthy normal hair growth and keeping your hair healthy and potentially helping your hair to grow at a faster rate.
Vitamin E is extremely useful in helping to reduce the effects of free radicals on the scalp and this in turn helps to promote healthy hair growth.
Then we're going to need half a cup of honey I’m gonna be putting in just a little bit less honey I'm gonna putting in about a third of a cup because i don't like things too sweet i want to keep my blood sugar level on the right side of heaven if you know what I mean.
Honey as well as helping the entire mixture stick together honey is rich in lots of minerals and vitamins and some bloggers and vloggers and beauty therapists say that honey helps to promote healthy normal hair growth.

In one of our other previous videos I'm going to put a card in. I use honey in my hair mask so you might want to check that out too.
Next up you'll need three tablespoons of brewer's yeast so you may never have heard of brewer's yeast it's actually a dietary supplement made from microscopic fungi. Brewer's yeast makes a fantastic addition in our snack because it's so rich in vitamins b1 b5 b8 b9 and lots of minerals hair is made up of a rough protein called keratin and vitamin b is essential for the synthesis of keratin brewer's yeast can also be added to soups and salad just by sprinkling it on top.
Then we need half a cup of peanut butter I'm just going to guesstimate this one I don't think I need to put it into the cup peanuts are some of the most nutritionally dense foods on the planet they are packed with minerals such as
  • phosphorus
  • manganese
  • copper
  • Zinc
  • magnesium
  • iron
  • selenium
  • potassium
Peanuts are rich in vitamin B6 and vitamin E niacin riboflavin thiamine folate pantothenic acid chlorine and peanuts are also rich in monounsaturated fatty acids they help to lower the bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol in the blood.
So guys I have to confess that blending just did not work it was way too thick so the recipe says to put um if you have a paddle extension then you can mix it all together with the paddle extension.

I'm just using a traditional wooden spoon mixing in the old country way towards the heart. Can I just say it looks really nice and it smells divine and even though we only have half a teaspoon half a teaspoon of vanilla I can really smell the vanilla.
Now we're going to mix in half a cup of dark chocolate dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants which help to fight off free radicals as you might already know free radicals are molecules that are unpaired and when they're kind of bouncing around your entire system they could be causing damage to your cells and to your organs to your skin to your hair follicles that's why antioxidants are so good in fighting back against these free radicals. So dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants I want to show you a brand of dark chocolate I've just recently bought. Oh my god this is the darkest chocolate I've ever tried it is so dark it surprised me when I tried it because it was so bitter it was like chewing poison I don't know it was so bitter but I feel I’m feeling the benefits.

It's really good so this is um montezuma's black chalk absolute black 100% cocoa solids dark chocolate unsponsored fantastic chocolate for you and there you have it the finished batch can I just say some of them look a little bit neater than others they are so sticky to make even though the recipe says it will take it will take about 10 minutes it took a little bit longer because it's so sticky and it was really difficult to roll I'm just I'm just not a kind of it's not even baking i can't even say I’m baking anyway guys I already tasted a little bit of them and I must admit they are pretty delicious.
I really hope you have enjoyed this recipe. Please let me know if you've tried out black seed oats and peanuts are fantastic for your hair and I really wanted to try it out and share the results with you.
