5 Top Skincare tips for men

Avoid reusable/cheap razors and shaving cream:

HEY you're shaving five times a week. You deserve the good stuff. Cheaper products can cause irritation and in-growing hairs. You'll also need to use a good quality shaving cream. The best shaving creams create a rich creamy lather and do not foam up like the cheaper brands. Consider using a lubricating shaving oil and a double-edged safety razor.

 Avoid Aftershave:

Alcohol in aftershave dries out the skin. If you don't fancy avoiding it all together why not try a moisturiser-based aftershave, such as an aftershave balm.

Scrub up!

A face scrub is essential for three reasons, according to Ole Henriksen, founder of the eponymous skincare brand. "Firstly, it deeply cleanses the skin, dislodging buildup in the pores and helping to break up whiteheads. It also smooths and refines the skin's texture, giving it a soft, supple look. And lastly, it enhances blood flow to the face, giving the appearance of a fresh glow," said Henriksen.

Glycolic Acid:

Rather alarming to have the word, 'Acid' in it's name, but fear not, this gentle exfoliator removes the outer layer of dead skin cells, bringing softer, fresher skin to the surface. Glycolic acid can also help lighten discoloration of the skin, such as sun spots or age spot and help those with acne-prone and blackhead-prone skin.

It Really Works Vitamins!

Bursting with 22 essential vitamins and minerals including Biotin, which this U.S. study found to reduce hair thinning, Zinc, a mineral that acne-suffers are often lacking in as well as Selenium, which protects the skin's quality, elasticity and protects it from the sun, says Nutritionist Joy Bauer.
