What is DHT?

DHT is a hormone produced in the skin, liver and testes. DHT is present in both men and women, but DHT related hair loss, otherwise known Androgenic Alopecia or pattern baldness affects much more men than women.

Almonds are rich in L-lysine, which helps to stop DHT from forming in the first place. Almonds are also a great source of protein.

Green Tea

The powerful antioxidants in Green Tea help strengthen hair in a number of ways: ▪ Studies show that green tea contains the antioxidant “EGCG” (or epigallocatechin gallate) that has the ability to stimulate the hair growth cycle.

When studying mice stricken with hair loss problems, researchers found that hair loss was halted in all mice which received green tea in their drinking water and surprisingly triggered new hair growth on the head of some of the mice. ▪ Green Tea contains B vitamin (panthenol), which you usually find in hair conditioners, softens and strengthens the hair follicle whilst helping to control split ends. ▪ Application of Green Tea to the scalp, results in a significant elongation of the hair follicle. ▪

The anti-inflammatory properties in Green Tea helps to stop hair loss and even promote new hair growth. That means that you can use it to cleanse your scalp and fight scalp infections that may weaken your hair roots. Remember that a healthy scalp creates the best conditions for fast hair growth.
